A new exhibition by AVRAHAM EILAT
UNSOLVED PUZZLES imagined photographic portraits
The exhibition is a special project on which Eilat has worked for the past year, and is composed of large size photographic images of people connected to visual art , mostly from Dusseldorf , where he has spent long term residencies during several years, and from En- Hod, Israel, where he lives.
In these works, equal importance is given to both the person’s face and his environment and/or elements taken from his art and life. Eilat uses those elements, treated and modified by digital means, to construct unknown, new worlds. By doing so Eilat creates images that are more than just faces and body gestures as presented in regular photographic portraits.
