Prof. Arie Ofir, born in Israel 1939, is a well known art designer. Former head of the Gold and silver-smiting department, “Bezalel Academy for Art and Design”, Jerusalem.
Currently acting as head of the Centre for Art and Design Studies Program, at the college for education technological studies in Tel Aviv.
He was awarded the “Jesselson Prize” for contemporary Judaica design by the “Israel Museum”.
His works have been displayed and purchased by private collectors, museums, galleries and design stores around the world, including the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, The Victoria & Albert Museum, London, Museum of 20th Century, Vienna, Modern Art Museum Kyoto & Tokyo, Japan, The Jewish Museums of NY – LA & Amsterdam, and the “Spertus Museum”.
